Zama, the fastest-expanding confidentiality protocol that streamlines on-chain finance, has launched its $ZAMA token on Revolut, the popular fintech firm. The token launch covers the entire European Economic Area (EEA). The rollout positions one of the top privacy-focused blockchain initiatives in front of the 70 million users of Revolut, taking into account over 15M active crypto traders. This is the 1st time that numerous daily consumers can leverage a token that is set to offer confidentiality on public blockchains while requiring no distinct privacy chains.
$ZAMA’s Revolut Launch in EEA Region Brings Privacy to Mainstream Blockchain Users
The launch of the $ZAMA token of Zama on Revolut within the EEA region is focused on advancing confidentiality and privacy. The move makes Zama an exclusive “HTTPS moment” for the DeFi sector. By integrating privacy into entities people already use with trust, Zama intends to redefine expectations around the protection of financial data in the digital age.
By design, public blockchains are comprehensively transparent, exposing positions, transfers, and balances to anyone looking into them. While the respective transparency provides advantages for auditability, there are also some vulnerabilities it causes to users in the case of exploitation and surveillance. Thus, Zama addresses the gap with Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) technology.
Particularly, Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) is a breakthrough technology to enable computations on encrypted data. Thus, consumers can transfer confidently on Ethereum as well as the rest of the public blockchain networks without compromising verifiability or compliance. While discussing this launch, Zama’s CEO and Co-founder, Dr. Rand Hindi, said, “Zama brings together one of the world’s largest teams of FHE researchers and engineers and supports a global ecosystem of developers building confidential applications. zama.org”
Benefiting Users with Instant Funding, Zero-Fee Trading, and Self-Custody
For those using Revolut, the $ZAMA integration provides diverse practical benefits, such as simple access, on-chain withdrawals, and low fees. Therefore, consumers can purchase as well as hold $ZAMA tokens in the Revolut application without the creation of unique accounts or going through extra KYC.
Additionally, Revolut enjoys the status of being the only prominent banking app within the EEA area that provides on-chain cryptocurrency transfers, letting clients extract $ZAMA tokens into self-custody wallets. Moving on, the start of the trading fees is 0%, with rapid fiat funding coming from the balances in Revolut. According to Zama, this seamless integration with Revolut guarantees the practical capability of confidentiality for numerous mainstream clients.
Moreover, in addition to this access, both entities are also planning to unveil a “Learn & Earn campaign” to raise awareness about how important blockchain privacy is. The listing of $ZAMA on Revolut comes after a series of robust real-world deployments to implement Zama’s technology for production. The respective use cases take into account confidential lending, institutional-token operations, and real-world tokenization, showing the expansion of scalable solutions to daily users.
