A standout feature of the Nitrogen testnet is its integration with the Threshold Network. This decentralized framework enhances the trust-minimized handling of decryption tasks. Additionally, the introduction of Parallel Decryptions addresses the computational challenges associated with FHE. This feature optimizes processing speeds, ensuring a seamless experience for both developers and users. It is being done by leveraging asynchronous decryption.
The Nitrogen testnet also offers flexibility to developers by providing Security Zones. These Zones are designed to cater to varying application requirements. Zone 0 prioritizes enhanced security through distributed key management, while Zone 1 focuses on performance optimization using a single local keyset. Depending on specific use cases, these zones allow developers to strike a balance between security and performance.

Another innovative addition is the ability to generate random numbers natively through a built-in FHE.rand() function. This addition further empowers developers with new cryptographic tools.
