Hong Kong, March 5, 2025 – INPUT Communications, a leading Web3 marketing and communications agency, successfully kicked off one of the key events at Consensus in Hong Kong on Feb. 19 — the Builder Battle: Chain Wars 2025.
The Builder Battle brought together some of the top minds within the Web3 ecosystem to debate the hottest and most pressing issues of the industry. The event triggered spirited discussions on blockchain scalability, the need for interoperability and ecosystem diversity, and the involvement of artificial intelligence in blockchain.
The top voices at the event were Clara Tsao, founding officer at Filecoin Foundation, Mark Rydon, co-founder and CSO of Aethir, Ahmad Shadid, founder and CEO of O.XYZ, and Andrey Kuznetsov, co-founder and CTO of HAQQ Network.
Builder Battle concluded with event attendees casting their votes, ultimately crowning Ahmad Shadid, Founder and CEO of O.XYZ, a decentralized AI ecosystem, as the “Leading Web3 Voice.” To secure his victory, Shadid emphasized the need for developing decentralized AI platforms with the help of blockchain technology that empower the masses rather than the privileged few.
“We challenged the status quo, didn’t shy away from tough discussions, and, as always, gave the community a direct voice in shaping the future of blockchain and Web3,” Shadid said. “By giving attendees the power to vote for the top speakers and directly engage, Builder Battle is setting a new standard for interactive industry events.”
The Builder Battle in Hong Kong was the first event hosted by INPUT Communications in a series of events with the same concept. “Our first event set the bar high – exceptional engagement, high-profile speakers, a unique concept, and an incredible crowd. From top-tier media coverage to the biggest local radio station interviewing guests, every detail was executed flawlessly. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to bring this experience to new locations,” says Mary Pedler, founder of INPUT Communications.
Mark Rydon, an expert on decentralized cloud infrastructure, says that utilizing AI within the blockchain ecosystem has the potential to transform many industries and even world economies. “It was a pleasure to discuss key topics of the industry with true experts who aim to make a real impact in the real world at the Builder Battle,” he added.
Kuznetsov believes that the panel was insightful as the discussions covered key topics like blockchain scalability, AI decentralization controversies, and the major hurdles to blockchain adoption.
“Events like Builder Battle can be highly impactful for the industry. They foster deeper, more constructive discussions compared to traditional panels, where speakers often focus on promoting their products or opinions,” Kuznetsov added. “The ‘battle’ format brings together people with differing viewpoints from various projects and opposing camps, enabling them to constructively debate controversial issues, which is incredibly valuable for the growth of the ecosystem.”
