Wirex announced a collaboration with i2c Inc., a market leader in digital payment and banking technologies
Wirex & i2c Partnership
i2c Inc., a leading supplier of digital payment and banking technologies, announced a cooperation with Wirex, a leading international cryptocurrency and fiat payment platform, to bring its prepaid multi-currency debit card to the United States.
The cooperation expands on a long-standing relationship between the two payment industry titans, bringing the Wirex prepaid crypto-enabled card program to the United States from the APAC and European areas. As with the other schemes, cardholders of the US Wirex will be able to manage and utilize several currencies while traveling with a single card. Along with obtaining cross-border payment freedom and control, cardholders may earn up to 8% in crypto rewards on all in-store and online transactions, while eliminating hefty international exchange costs.
Wirex’s hybrid payment option leverages blockchain technology and i2c’s platform to enable US users to purchase, store, swap, and spend USD and up to 30 cryptocurrencies at more than 80 million merchant locations worldwide. Accounts may be financed by debit card top-ups, and further benefits include no yearly fees, no currency conversion costs, near-instant crypto transactions, and live transaction alerts.
