The Metaverse app FlickPlay today announced a collaboration with The Sandbox to improve interoperability between the two Metaverse systems
Sandbox & FlickPlay Metaverse Partnership
The Sandbox and FlickPlay announced a new cooperation that would allow players to use a blockchain asset on both networks. Marking an important step toward the creation of the Metaverse. FlickPlay players may now use Flicky as an avatar in The Sandbox Metaverse game. FlickPlay has just released their first NFT collection, dubbed ‘FlickyGang.’
NFT collection, which includes an anthropomorphic chameleon named Flicky dressed in several outfits, will be available at mint in May. FlickyGang is a group of 12,000 unique 3D animals that live on the Ethereum blockchain. Each Flicky has its own personality and qualities based on human experiences and emotions. Qualities to accentuate its individuality and expand the reality of its carriers.
The notion of the Metaverse entails individuals freely travelling among virtual worlds on various platforms and bringing their virtual clothes and other items with them. Concept known as interoperability. Some Flicky owners will be able to use the NFT as own avatar in The Sandbox. Online and mobile game in which participants may create a three-dimensional virtual environment.
FlickPlay is a Pokemon Go-style game that uses the increased AR characteristics of contemporary phones to allow users to unlock digital items, play AR games, and uncover hidden artwork on walls and in museums via an interactive AR map of their actual surroundings.
Quotes
Sebastien Borget, the co-founder of The Sandbox, said: “The integration is notable because it may be the first to bridge an NFT in the virtual world with usage linked to the physical world. The partnership with FlickPlay will help create a more immersive experience that extends into the Metaverse and The Sandbox.”
Pierina Merino, founder and chief executive of FlickPlay, said: “Initially, Flicky owners will unlock a version of the chameleon to use on The Sandbox. But soon they will be able to use the exact version of the digital asset that is stored on the blockchain in both games, adding that the company is working with The Sandbox to reach interoperability by the end of the year.”
