Artifact Labs, a Web3 firm that works to “Preserve and Connect History” on the blockchain, today announced a collaboration with The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) for the premiere of The Metaverse Symphony, the latest project by renowned film composer Elliot Leung. The Metaverse Symphony will be performed by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

As part of this ground-breaking partnership, Artifact Labs will serve as the official partner for Elliot Leung and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, which is widely regarded as one of the best orchestras in the world. Together, they will compose the very first symphonic masterpiece ever, which will have its world premiere in both a traditional concert hall and in the Metaverse.

A Fully Immersive Web3 Experience
The event will be held in Hong Kong in May of 2023, and The Metaverse Symphony will also have its world premiere as a fully immersive Web3 experience in The Sandbox. Artifact Labs is replicating Hong Kong’s famed Statue Square as a multi-use digital venue to highlight the endless possibilities of music in a virtual world, and The Sandbox is serving as its Metaverse partner.
Elliot Leung is a well-known composer who is best recognized for his work on the soundtracks of feature films. Among his most well-known works include the theme and score for The Battle at Lake Changjin, which was the second-highest grossing picture globally in 2021. Due to his many achievements and his significant contributions to the film business, Leung was included on the Forbes 2022 list of 30 under 30.
