Mailchain, a communication layer platform for Web3, has now added support for Unstoppable Domains addresses, allowing users to use their personalized digital identities as a Web3 email address through Mailchain’s wallet-to-wallet messaging platform.
Unstoppable Domains is one of the leading digital identity platforms for Web3. It allows users to replace lengthy alphanumeric crypto wallet addresses with a human-readable name and log into and transact with hundreds of apps, wallets, exchanges, and marketplaces.
According to a press release, Mailchain users can now send and receive messages using wallets with a Web3 domain, including .crypto, .nft, .x, .wallet, .bitcoin, and .dao.
Mailchain Enhancing Its Web3 Email Messaging Service With Unstoppable Domains
Web3 has so far been a rapidly growing industry, with over a million onboarded users in the past years. However, online communication in Web3 is still done through some Web2 platforms. Mailchain aims to change this by bringing the Web2 messaging-like experience into Web3.
In its aim to achieve that, the platform has now integrated with Unstoppable Domains, as Digital identities are a core element when it comes to online communication as well as for users to retain control of their data, communications, and digital assets.
The integration between the two parties accelerates the continued growth of Mailchain Web3-native email service and Unstoppable Domain digital identities service. “Communication between identities in a private, Web3-native way unlocks a vast range of possibilities for users and application developers,” said Tim Boeckmann, CEO of Mailchain.
Mailchain is built to operate and appear similar to the traditional email platform. Its users can directly send and receive messages from multiple wallets in one personal inbox. Given that the platform is created to be accessible to all Web3 users, Mailchain operates without no charge or gas fees, enhancing it as a community-driven communication layer.
While several Web2 services are now being integrated into Web3, it is worth noting that Web3 is birthing its native services. Last month, DeNet, a multichain ecosystem based on decentralized storage, announced the launch of the first Web3 storage mobile app with easy and private access.
