Golem Network has announced the launch of a new JavaScript application programming interface (API). This API has undergone considerable revisions in order to make it more navigable and intuitive for JS developers. Users are now able to execute actions straight from their browsers thanks to the new API’s much simpler design, which makes it easier to use than its predecessor and makes it easier to use overall.
Łukasz Piłatowski, Technical Product Owner at Golem Factory, said: “Our aim is to provide a way of accessing the Golem Network tailored for JS developers, adjusted to their workflow. With the new JS API, JS developers can use the Golem Network for running tasks directly from the browser and utilize Golem as a computational backend. Now, they can easily integrate Golem into their existing projects and take advantage of its decentralized computing power.”
Faster Computing in a More Streamlined Way
Golem Network has simplified access to faster computing for JS developers by developing a new JS API. Users will have the opportunity to run tasks with only three lines of code and will have a better understanding of how it functions as a result of the native coding style utilized by JS. In addition, users now have the ability to exercise control over the procedure of selecting providers and executing contracts in order to make use of the computational resources provided by the Golem Network.
Adrian Pietraszkiewicz, Marketing Director at Golem Factory, said: “We love this change because it allows our community and users to run tasks directly from the browser. Three lines of code and you can experience the superpower of our open-source platform. After dApp-runner and dApp-manager, JS API is the next step in lowering the barrier to entry for developers who want to implement a decentralized philosophy in their everyday tools.”
There is no requirement for sophisticated knowledge of JavaScript coding for JS developers who are interested in using Golem to access computing resources. To get the new Golem JS API up and running, all you need to do is have a working knowledge of how to run scripts written in node.js and be able to incorporate third-party libraries into HTML files.
New Installation Process Lowers Barriers for Developers
The installation procedure has been streamlined, and developers now have easier access to the Golem platform directly through their browsers. This lowers the obstacles that previously prevented them from creating decentralized applications (dApps) on the Golem network. You can get a detailed walkthrough of the new Golem JS API installation process right here on this page.
Golem Network is a network that was established in 2015 with the intention of democratizing access to computer resources that are resistant to censorship. This is made possible by a cutting-edge protocol that, in a peer-to-peer (P2P) approach, enables users to rent and rent out idle hardware that is owned by service providers.
Users are able to generate passive income by leasing out their computational resources thanks to the settlement layer of the protocol, which is powered by the Golem Network Token (GLM). This makes it possible for users to participate in a shared and alternative economy. The combination of all of these capabilities makes it possible for developers to build on top of the platform in the same way that they would build on standard cloud infrastructure, but without the problems that are associated with centralized platforms.
