Wanchain, a popular platform that links diverse blockchain ledgers and performs value exchange between them with distribution, has announced a new integration. The platform has pointed out that Wanchain Web3 Domains has carried out an exclusive integration with the Layer-2-based ENS domains. In this way, the protocol will provide support for ENS L2 and off-chain data.
Wanchain Domains and ENS Domains Form an Exclusive Integration
It added that Ethereum-related L2 solutions are getting considerable fame. Hence, it is significant that ENS can offer resolution services. Another important thing is to enable ENS clients to be benefitted from the efficiencies provided by L2 solutions. The ENS team and the broader community have been making efforts to develop a general-purpose L2 bridge.
The respective bridge would enable cross-platform interoperability for ENS as well as the rest of the applications that require the ability to redeem data from diverse off-chain sources. This takes into account ZKSync, Starkware, Arbitrum, Optimism, and other such solutions. ENS also discussed the standards EIP-3668, EIP 5559, and ENSIP-10. The initial of these standards is final while the other two are drafts.
The Latest Standards Enable Smooth Validation and Data Storage
The standard EIP-3668 permits transparent on-chain data lookups for users and offers contract authors focused on the implementation of the required validation. In several cases, it can be offered without any extra trust assumptions beyond the required if the storage of data is done on-chain. EIP-5559 offers a mechanism permitting smart contracts to request diverse tasks that an outside handler can resolve.
With this, the protocols can minimize gas fees concerning the data stored on the mainnet. ENSIP-10 is known as a general method for resolving wildcards on Layer 1. The issuance of subdomains as well as the shift of the parent name’s resolution to off-chain sources enables the creation of offchain subdomains.
