- New partnership promises to make decentralized trading easy to use for non-techy users
- The proposed system aims to enable users to purchase cryptocurrency assets using fiat
- With the help of APIs, developers can build one system that can implement features of both NEX and nOS
As announced this week by Dean van Dugteren, founder of the nOS virtual operating system, nOS has entered into a partnership with NEX, a decentralized exchange. This partnership aims to make blockchain and decentralized applications (DApps) accessible to everyone.
This partnership, Dugteren hopes, will help revolutionize the Smart Economy by integrating the NEX decentralized exchange into nOS. By making NEX easy to use as part of the nOS experience, trading crypto assets without relying on centralized exchanges will become seamless and easy not just for crypto experts, but for newcomers and outsiders as well.
Project Details
Apart from NEX being readily accessible on the nOS platform, both projects will have compatible developer APIs, which will make creating dApps much easier for developers who only need to build a single application and have it be supported on both platforms.
Furthermore, NEX will power a one-of-its-kind swap trade feature among native tokens on the nOS platform. This implies that no matter the dApp a user might be accessing, payments on such dApp can still be processed without the user initially holding its native tokens. With the help of NEX, available tokens can easily be swapped instantly from tokens in possession of the user.
Shortly, users will be able to make payments with no cryptocurrency holding whatsoever as the platform would have the option to exchange fiat for token purchases.
About nOS and NEX
nOS is a blockchain powered operating system. According to its whitepaper; “nOS applications and websites can be deployed in a completely open and decentralized manner by integrating smart contracts, client-side code, and public-key cryptography.”
NEX, on the other hand, is a high-performance decentralized exchange platform and payment service system which allows third-party decentralized apps on NEO to send and receive digital assets.
