Gracy Chen, the managing director of the popular crypto exchange Bitget recently took to Twitter to disclose that BASE mainnet is available for building. The executive also noted that BASE L2 is getting a lot of attention with BALD tokens as well as several meme coins. The respective projects are seeing a huge hype. Nevertheless, the managing director pointed out that several incidents concerning sudden price slumps and liquidity losses have taken place.

According to Bitget’s managing director, OP Stack of Optimism is responsible for powering Base. In this way, Base is turned into the most scalable and secure EVM L2. Chen added that OP Stack operates as an open-source protocol offering a foundation for a superchain containing L2s that have governance, sequencing, and interoperability among themselves.

The executive also discussed the apprehensions regarding Cross-Chain Limitations. She disclosed that the project has not offered a cross-out solution up till now and this ignites concerns among a few consumers regarding the extraction of their funds.
