We are in the red right now. The bear market is pretty lengthy this time, and many are either panicking or have left crypto far behind. Only those who have studied the endless market cycles know how to manage risks in these situations. Some people are calm and hardly worry about all the chaos.
Have you ever imagined travelling the world pursuing crypto, doing what you love and meeting new people from the crypto community? Sounds fun right? Well we at blockchain reporter interviewed one man who is living the dream last weekend. He’s an entrepreneur, founder of “Elevated District Media”, a trader and a Crypto influencer. Yes! You are right. I am talking about “Shill Nye – The crypto guy”.
BR: You are a traveller. What motivates you and helps you keep going? Is it worth it to travel for crypto?
Nye: The thing that keeps me motivated to keep going is that life never stops. I’ve been through a lot of things in the past that makes me realise this is what I want. This is something I want to pursue and get really good at, and that’s the reason I keep going and push my limits so that I can be a better human being.
“Is it worth to travel for crypto?” well I think so. You get to meet communities around the world, you get to meet founders and other entrepreneurs in the crypto space that are doing some really cool amazing things. For me it’s been really interesting to travel. I’ve spent a lot of time in Southeast Asia this year, meeting a lot of different companies and seeing what’s happening behind the scenes versus what you hear about happening online.
BR: During your travel all around the world, how did you find the local crypto scene? Which country impressed you the most?
Nye: Each country is very different with the local crypto scene, there are countries like Thailand that are really bullish in terms of regulations, in terms of progress in those countries and there are countries like china, that are little bit bullish about cryptocurrencies but still bullish about blockchain technology, the country’s that impressed me the most got to be Korea, Seoul, that is south Korea. It’s been a leader in the crypto scene, and it continues to be really interesting to go there and learn about what’s going on there.
BR: What are some of the projects you see have immense potential?
Nye: I think there are a few major projects that have immense potential. Basically anyone who survives the bear market has immense potential.
BR: What else are you into outside of cryptocurrencies?
Nye: I’m into meditation and mindfulness and increasing myself awareness, I’m into fitness, Sure to get back into fitness to make sure I’m healthy and keep my physical health up and I’m into building things really into creation and building and learning.
BR: What do you think matters the most in this realm, Experience or Knowledge?
Nye: I think knowledge comes with experience; it’s a hard question for me to answer. I think that experience is probably that matters the very most in this realm. You learn through experience lot of the times and whether you’re a trader or a investor or you’re just an enthusiast, experiencing it has a completely different effect than just learning about it.
BR: Who in the crypto Space inspires you the most?
Nye: That’s a really good question. I don’t really know, to be honest with you. I don’t really have just one person that inspires me the most, there are couple really big figures in this space that I think are doing some amazing things and appreciate all that they do for this space.
BR: What are the problems that you think the Blockchain can solve?
Nye: It just depends on the industry. For me I’m definitely more passionate about the financial sector and how Blockchain can affect that, specifically with bitcoin. I think it also affects the gaming industry, on supply chain, on voting, these are all kind of use cases that I’m bullish about.
BR: Can you tell us something about your secret project coming up in 2019?
Nye: I really can’t tell much about it. It’s going to be really interesting, it’s going to be really fun, it’s going to be really a lot of free informative content and it’s something that I think someone of any skill level in blockchain and crypto will enjoy it.
BR: I know it says “No financial advice” but can you bend the rules this once and provide some financial advice for our readers?
Nye: The only thing I can say is Do your own research, Learn, before you get into investing. Obviously never invest too much of your own money into it. You’d want to be diversified, you don’t want to be over leveraged into cryptocurrency. It’s not some get rich quick scheme, although there have stories of people getting rich quick. Not everyone will do it. Majority of the people who try will fail and wind up with less money than you had in the beginning. So I don’t ever try to recommend to get rich quick, I recommend creating something, putting in the time, the effort and building something. That’s my best recommendation.
As always guys. It’s your boy Nye. You could fine me @cryptoshillnye on twitter and on instagram, at Iamnye.com and you could check out my business “Elevated district” at elevateddistrict.com and thank you so much staging.blockchainreporter.net for this interview.
