Partnering with Industry Leaders
Public blockchain Wanchain has partnered with Rivetz and ElevenPaths to create next-generation secure mobile blockchain solutions.
Both the companies have ample experience in this field: Rivetz is one of the key players in embedded, blockchain-based mobile security solutions industry, while ElevenPaths is a Cybersecurity Unit of Telefonica, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world by market capitalization and the number of subscribers.
Advanced Hardware Security Technology
Thanks to the partnership, a new hardware security technology called Dual Roots of trust has been created. It was designed in collaboration by Rivetz and Elevenpaths, allowing tens of millions Telefónica users worldwide to enjoy carrier-grade identity and e-commerce protections. Wanchain also plans to integrate Rivetz’s advanced hardware protection technology, delivering a new level of security of transactions and data on blockchains.
Dual Roots of Trust technology cryptographically distributes user’s private key between several independent roots of trust. The first one is The Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), while the second is the carrier subscriber identity module (SIM). Such solution creates an extra security level for private keys; in case one of the systems is somehow exploited, the other one still guarantees the users will be still able to control their private keys.
The Launch Date
The three companies will showcase the integration of their solutions and the technologies in work at Mobile World Congress (MWC) week in Barcelona, Spain on February 25–28, 2019.
According to founder and CEO of Wanchain Jack Lu, Wanchain team is excited for this partnership that will potentially bring millions of new users to the blockchain. He said:
“Together with our new partners, we will integrate to enable the mass market security and privacy that every user needs to have a safe and simple experience.”
Both, Rivetz CEO Steven Spargue and Pedro Pablo Perez, CEO at ElevenPaths think that the partnership with Wanchain will be beneficial for all the sides. According to Steven Spargue, Wanchain will provide a new model for data integrity transactions and privacy, “which is an excellent complement to embedded mobile security.”
Pedro Pablo Perez further commented:
“We are pleased to be working with partners to develop innovative core technology to protect user’s identities, sensitive information and digital assets.”
