Best Crypto to Buy Now: BTC Holds $77K as Ondo Goes Live on Solana and Chainlink Signs Hanwha

Bitcoin is the best crypto to buy now for a low-risk core position, while Ondo and Chainlink are the two higher-beta trades with dated catalysts. BTC trades at $77,199 on October 31, holding just above the $76,500 six-week low it printed in the wake of the Binance hack, while ONDO is up 4.5% on the day after Ondo Finance moved its tokenized investment portfolios onto Solana, and LINK is up 2.7% after Chainlink signed Hanwha Investment & Securities to its data standard. Three assets, two fresh real-world-asset catalysts, and one market still deciding whether the post-hack dip is a floor or a step lower.

The tape is split at the 05:45 UTC print on October 31, per CoinGecko. Bitcoin is down 1.8% over 24 hours, Ether off 0.3%, Solana 2.3% and BNB 2.0%, while the tokenization names are green: ONDO up 4.5%, Aave 3.0% and Chainlink 2.7%. That split is the story of the week — the assets tied to tokenized real-world assets are drawing bids even as the majors digest the $6.34 billion Binance hack that coincided with Bitcoin’s slide from an $81,274 daily close on October 28 to roughly $77,000.

Bitcoin’s $77,000 Hold and the Level That Decides the Dip

Bitcoin spent October 24 through October 28 trading between about $80,000 and $81,300, then broke down on October 29 as the Binance incident went public. The seven-day path is visible below: daily closes of $80,811, $80,049, $80,029, $80,801 and $81,274, then $77,839 on October 29 and $77,223 on October 30. The current $77,199 print leaves the market testing whether the $76,500 six-week low holds.

The level that matters now is $76,500. A daily close below it would open the next observable support well beneath the recent range, while a reclaim of the $80,000 band would have to absorb the supply of everyone who bought the October 24–28 range. The invalidation for the bearish read is straightforward: a daily close back above $81,800 reopens the upper range and voids the breakdown.

Ondo Goes Live on Solana: Seven Portfolios, Three Backed by BlackRock

The clearest green candle on the list is ONDO, up 4.5% to $0.4113, after Ondo Finance moved its Ondo Intelligent Portfolios to Solana. The product packages professionally curated investment strategies into single onchain tokens, and all seven portfolios are now available to eligible investors outside the U.S. through Solana wallets and applications, Ondo said.

The seven portfolios span income, growth and thematic exposure. BLKHIon (High Income), BLKGRWon (High Growth) and BLKDIGon (Diversified Growth) are built on portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo, while MAG7Xon tracks the Magnificent 7 plus crypto, BRAINon holds AI leaders, and YLD5on and YLD8on target income. “Ondo Intelligent Portfolios were built to put professionally curated investment strategies within reach of any eligible investor with a wallet, and seven live portfolios with more than $40 million in TVL in four weeks tell us that’s exactly what investors want,” said John Hoffman, managing director and head of portfolios at Ondo Finance.

The expansion lands on a network where Ondo already has more than $500 million in total value locked across tokenized assets, and where Ondo Stocks already offer access to hundreds of tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs. “Tokenized assets are one of the fastest-growing categories on Solana, and the demand we’re seeing for tokenized stocks shows investors want real-world exposure onchain,” said Nick Ducoff, general manager of institutional at the Solana Foundation.

Chainlink Signs Hanwha: An Institutional RWA Rail for Korea

LINK is up 2.7% to $11.42 after Chainlink and Hanwha Investment & Securities, the securities arm of Fortune Global 500 group Hanwha, announced a partnership to build a global real-world-asset tokenization platform. Hanwha is adopting the Chainlink data standard and its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as the platform’s official data and interoperability infrastructure, the two firms said in a joint release.

The partnership is aimed squarely at the regulatory timetable. South Korea is set to introduce its tokenized securities framework in February 2027, and Hanwha is positioning itself to lead that market. “Our goal is to tokenize quality assets that clients have wanted but found difficult to access, and to open a new financial market where they are issued, distributed, and used as collateral across global markets,” said Insung An, chief digital officer at Hanwha Investment & Securities. Chainlink Labs chief business officer Johann Eid framed the deal as a distribution play: “Tokenizing assets is the first step, but connecting them across public and private blockchains is what unlocks access to users, markets, and liquidity worldwide.”

Chainlink’s existing institutional network — Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, ANZ and others — gives the Hanwha tie-up a track record to lean on, which is part of why Chainlink’s reserve keeps buying LINK.

The Math Behind the Two RWA Trades

The two catalysts trade at very different scales. Ondo’s market cap is about $2.0 billion, while Chainlink’s is roughly $8.8 billion — LINK is about 4.4 times the size of ONDO. In dollar terms, $1,000 buys roughly 0.01295 BTC at $77,199, 10.4 SOL at $96.01, 2,431 ONDO at $0.4113, or 87.6 LINK at $11.42. For that $1,000 stake to double, Bitcoin needs to reach about $154,398 — a move that requires adding roughly $1.55 trillion of new value — while ONDO only needs to reach $0.8226 and LINK $22.84.

The flip side of the small-cap math is valuation. Ondo’s $2.0 billion market cap sits against roughly $40 million in portfolio TVL and $500 million in total Solana TVL, which means the market is valuing ONDO at about 50 times its current portfolio TVL. That multiple prices in significant future growth in a category — tokenized equities and funds — that is only beginning to be regulated. These are arithmetic ceilings and ratios, not forecasts.

The Skeptical Case

The clearest risk is the regulatory unknown around RWA tokenization. Ondo’s portfolios are available only to eligible investors outside the United States, a restriction that caps the addressable market today, and three of its seven portfolios depend on BlackRock’s continued licensing of its strategies. South Korea’s tokenized securities framework does not take effect until February 2027, so the Hanwha platform’s near-term revenue is a promise rather than a live business.

The second risk is the tape itself. Bitcoin has not confirmed a bottom, and a failure of $76,500 would likely drag the entire risk complex lower — small-cap RWA tokens included, whatever their catalysts. The catalysts here are real and dated, but they sit inside a market that is still repricing the largest exchange hack on record. Position sizing should reflect that the green candles are running against a red tape, not confirming its end.
