Crypto.com launched its Visa Signature® Credit Card for US consumers on June 12, 2025, and in May 2026 added the option to earn rewards in Bitcoin instead of its own CRO token. The card has no annual fee and pays 1.5% to 6% back depending on your Level Up tier, but the higher rates require either a monthly subscription or a 12-month CRO stake, and Bitcoin rewards are capped each month. Whether it is worth it comes down to how much you spend, which tier you choose and whether you are comfortable holding CRO, which has lost about 63% of its value over the past year.

Rewards by Level Up Tier
Rewards depend on your tier in Crypto.com’s Level Up program. You choose CRO or Bitcoin as the reward currency. CRO rewards have no monthly cap; Bitcoin rewards are paid at the full rate only up to a monthly spending cap and at a lower rate above it.
| Tier (card) | How to qualify | Rewards | BTC cap per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic (Midnight) | Free | 1.5% | First $250, then 1.0% |
| Plus (Ruby) | $4.99 a month, $49.90 a year or a $500 CRO stake for 12 months | 3.5% | First $500, then 2.0% |
| Pro (Jade or Indigo) | $29.99 a month, $299.90 a year or a $5,000 CRO stake for 12 months | 4.5% | First $1,000, then 2.0% |
| Private (Icy or Rose) | $50,000 CRO stake for 12 months | 5.0% | First $5,000, then 2.0% |
| Private (Obsidian) | $500,000 CRO stake for 12 months | 6.0% | First $10,000, then 2.0% |
When you switch to Bitcoin rewards for the first time, the change applies immediately; later switches take effect on the first day of the following month. Rewards are converted at the market price at the time of each purchase.
How Much Does the Card Really Cost?
The card itself has no annual fee, but the rewards above 1.5% are not free. The Plus tier costs $49.90 a year if paid annually, and the Pro tier $299.90, unless you lock up CRO instead. A stake removes the subscription fee but exposes you to CRO’s price: a $5,000 stake made a year ago would be worth about $1,830 today after CRO’s roughly 63% fall, according to CoinMarketCap.
As with any credit card, carrying a balance wipes out the rewards. Forbes Advisor lists a variable purchase APR of 17.49% to 31.49% in its August 2026 review. When the card launched in 2025, Crypto.com said it charged no foreign transaction fees, but Forbes Advisor’s review lists a 3% fee, so check the current rate and fee disclosure before using the card abroad.
Welcome Bonus
Crypto.com’s 2026 welcome offer, which runs from January 1 to December 31, 2026, pays a one-time bonus in CRO to new cardholders enrolled in Level Up:
- Midnight (Basic): $100 in CRO after spending $1,500 within 90 days of account opening.
- Ruby (Plus): $200 in CRO after spending $2,000 within 90 days.
- Indigo, Jade, Icy, Rose and Obsidian: $300 in CRO after spending $5,000 within 90 days.
The bonus can take up to seven days after the offer window to arrive, and Crypto.com reviews spending before paying it out.
Level Up Loyalty Program
Beyond spending rewards, the card is tied to Crypto.com’s Level Up loyalty program, which bundles other benefits by tier. Paid tiers include zero trading fees up to a monthly volume limit, and Crypto.com offers 100% rebates on Spotify and Netflix subscriptions of up to $13.99 a month for eligible members. Pro and Private cardholders can register for Priority Pass airport lounge access, and Private members earn higher staking rewards on their locked CRO. Level Up subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled in the app.
Crypto.com Prepaid Visa Card vs. the Credit Card
Crypto.com also offers a prepaid Visa card, issued in the US by Community Federal Savings Bank, which you load with funds instead of borrowing. Its rewards are lower and capped more tightly than the credit card’s: 1.5% on the first $750 of monthly purchases on Plus, 2.5% on the first $1,500 on Pro, and 3.5% to 4.5% on Private, on the first $3,000 or $5,000 a month. For most US spenders who qualify for credit, the Visa Signature card pays more on the same tier; the prepaid card suits users who want spending tied to their Crypto.com balance or who cannot get a credit card. Our Crypto.com Visa Card review covers the prepaid card’s tiers, fees and availability outside the US.
How It Compares With Other Crypto Credit Cards
| Card | Rewards | Membership or stake | Annual fee | Issuer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crypto.com Visa Signature | 1.5% to 6% in CRO or BTC | Free Basic tier; paid tiers $4.99 to $29.99 a month or a CRO stake | $0 | Comenity Capital Bank |
| Coinbase One Card (Amex) | 2% to 4% in BTC, based on assets held on Coinbase | Coinbase One membership, from $49.99 a year | $0 with Coinbase One | First Electronic Bank |
| Gemini Credit Card (Mastercard) | 4% gas, EV and transit (first $300 a month), 3% dining, 2% groceries, 1% other | None | $0 | WebBank |
The Gemini card is the simplest choice for people who want crypto rewards without a subscription or a stake. The Coinbase One Card pays at least 2% in Bitcoin on everything, with 2.5% to 4% on up to $10,000 a month depending on how much you hold on Coinbase, but it requires a paid Coinbase One membership. Crypto.com’s card can pay the most of the three, but only on the Pro and Private tiers, and only if you accept a subscription fee, a CRO stake or monthly caps on Bitcoin rewards. For more on one of the exchanges behind these cards, see our Coinbase review.
Is the Crypto.com Visa Card Worth It?
It depends on your spending. For someone who spends $1,000 a month and pays the balance in full:
- Basic (free): 1.5% in CRO is about $15 a month, or about $11.25 in Bitcoin because of the $250 cap.
- Plus ($4.99 a month): 3.5% in CRO is about $35 a month, or about $27.50 in Bitcoin, which leaves roughly $22.50 to $30 after the fee.
- Pro ($29.99 a month): 4.5% is about $45 a month in either currency, or about $15 after the fee, which is less than Plus at this level of spending.
At this spending level, the Plus tier gives the best return; Pro only beats Plus for people who spend more than about $2,500 a month, or who value its lounge access. The Private tiers make sense only for users who already hold large amounts of CRO, because a $50,000 or $500,000 stake carries far more price risk than the rewards can offset. Anyone who wants to avoid CRO entirely should choose Bitcoin rewards and keep spending near the monthly cap, or consider a card without a stake, such as Gemini’s.
How to Apply
1. Download the Crypto.com app and create an account. 2. Check whether you pre-qualify; Crypto.com says pre-qualification uses a soft credit inquiry. 3. Choose a Level Up tier: Basic is free, while Plus and Pro need a subscription or a CRO stake, and Private needs a stake. 4. Submit the application; approval is subject to Comenity Capital Bank’s credit review. 5. Choose CRO or Bitcoin rewards in the app and start spending.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Crypto.com Visa card worth it?
It can be for people who pay their balance in full and choose the right tier. The card has no annual fee and pays 1.5% on the free Basic tier, but the higher 3.5% to 6% rates need a subscription or a CRO stake. For someone spending about $1,000 a month, the Plus tier at $4.99 a month usually gives the best net return.
Does the Crypto.com credit card have an annual fee?
No. The Crypto.com Visa Signature Credit Card has no annual fee. However, rewards above the 1.5% Basic rate require a paid Level Up subscription, which costs $4.99 a month for Plus and $29.99 a month for Pro, or a 12-month CRO stake of $500 to $500,000, depending on the tier you choose.
Can I earn Bitcoin with the Crypto.com card?
Yes. Since May 19, 2026, cardholders can choose Bitcoin rewards instead of CRO. Bitcoin rewards pay the full rate only up to a monthly spending cap, from $250 on Basic to $10,000 on Private Obsidian, and 1% or 2% above it. CRO rewards have no cap. The first switch to Bitcoin applies immediately, and later switches take effect the following month.
Who issues the Crypto.com Visa Signature credit card?
The card is issued by Comenity Capital Bank and runs on the Visa network. It is available only to US consumers, and approval depends on a credit review. Crypto.com’s separate prepaid Visa card is issued in the US by Community Federal Savings Bank and does not require a credit check, but its rewards are lower and capped more tightly.
How does the Crypto.com card compare with the Coinbase and Gemini cards?
The Gemini card pays up to 4% in set categories with no membership or stake, and the Coinbase One Card pays 2% to 4% in Bitcoin but requires a Coinbase One membership from $49.99 a year. Crypto.com’s card can pay up to 6%, but only on high tiers that require a subscription or a large CRO stake.
