U.S. crypto regulation is back at the heart of the market after a House committee voted 28 to 21 on September 16, 2026, to advance a bill that would turn the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve into law, CoinMarketCap reported.
Bitcoin dipped under $75,000 earlier in the week before climbing back above $81,000, and the CFTC separately sent its first crypto market rules to the White House for review. Together the two steps show that policy keeps moving forward, piece by piece, instead of stalling.
That climate makes audits and working products matter more for early projects. Pepeto is backing its zero fee exchange narrative with a SolidProof audit, a completed KYC and a fixed 420 trillion supply, while running tools built to make trading cheaper and safer for the 43,000 people who already hold it.
What Is the Bitcoin Price Today After the Reserve Bill Vote?
The Bitcoin (BTC) price today is $85,320, 6.21% higher than a day earlier on CoinMarketCap as of September 21, 2026, after the reserve bill opened a path to holding the government’s seized BTC for 20 years.
However, the bill still needs the full House and the Senate, and Arkham counts 324,527 BTC in government hands that the rule would lock away. News from Washington may therefore go on moving Bitcoin between $75,000 support and the $82,000 to $87,000 ceiling.
Buyers are learning to tell hopeful headlines apart from products they can use. An audit and a fixed supply do not remove risk, but they tell a buyer more than any promise of friendly laws.
What Is Pepeto, and How Does It Pair Security With Zero Fee Trading?
Pepeto is a presale crypto whose exchange goes after a plain problem: trading tokens costs too much. PepetoSwap charges a 0.00% swap fee, so 200 trades of $5,000 that cost $3,000 on Uniswap cost $0, while $50 million of tested daily volume shows it holds up as more traders arrive.
A SolidProof audit, with KYC on the team, hands buyers an outside contract review as its listing approaches.
The Pepeto toolset is wider than the exchange. Its bridge is live across five chains at a $0 fee, and stakers earn 162% APY that becomes claimable at listing. The security scanner runs 42 detectors on every scan and blocks trades on contracts with critical findings by default.
Those pieces could make one complete trading home covering checks, swaps, yield and cross chain transfers. The fixed 420 trillion supply, kept constant across chains by the bridge, also hands buyers a clear upper limit.
Conclusion
More attention from regulators tends to favor projects able to explain what each product does. Pepeto can frame its token around a working set of tools instead of a story built on hope. The presale price stands at $0.0000001896 before a higher next stage, and the team reports a raise above $11 million.
That demand now meets a market freshly focused on real use and accountability. If lawmakers keep setting firmer rules for custody and trading, a non custodial exchange with audited contracts, where no operator holds user funds, could be in a better spot than most to adjust.
The bullish Pepeto case is therefore more than a bet on friendly rules. The team is building a full toolset, led by the cofounder of the original Pepe coin with a former Binance expert on the dev team, that stays useful however the rules change.
With its Binance listing drawing near and three products already live, Pepeto could reach public markets with a far stronger story than the usual early token, and early investors could end up with an early seat into one of the most promising opportunities of this cycle.
