The crypto news story of the week is Hyperliquid hitting a new all-time high of $82 after President Trump said the CFTC is working to bring the platform into the US legally per CoinDesk. HYPE gained 34% in a single week. The gains were earned. But that is exactly the point.
HYPE already sits at $19 billion, and the next move to $100 is 28%. Strong trade, not a life-changing one. The wallets that built real wealth were never chasing a $19 billion token after a 34% run.
Pepeto, an Ethereum-based meme coin from the original Pepe developer, raised $10.83 million at the current presale level with 148x to Pepe’s all-time high and an approaching Binance listing. That is the crypto news gap the wallets filling the presale right now already spotted.
Trump Names Hyperliquid at White House Event as CFTC Opens a US Path
Trump made the announcement at a White House gathering of crypto executives on August 19 per CoinDesk. HYPE jumped 17% within hours, and the Hyperliquid ETFs from 21Shares, Bitwise, and Grayscale each gained nearly 20%.
At $19 billion, the easy money from this crypto news cycle has already been made. The question smart capital asks now is where the next 10x lives, because it is not inside a token that already ran 34%.
Hyperliquid and Pepeto: Where the Crypto News Points Next
Pepeto
Every major listing run since 2021 has followed the same pattern. The entries that produced the biggest returns were made before the chart started moving, and by the time the crypto news covered the rally, the best entry was already gone. Pepeto is where that early entry sits right now, and the reason the capital keeps flowing in is the story behind the project.
It is an Ethereum-based meme coin created by the same developer who launched the original Pepe token to $11 billion on 420 trillion tokens with zero live products. This time, the exchange is already running before the listing, and over $10.83 million has come in at the current presale level while the broader market dealt with fear.
The platform underneath is what gives the conviction teeth. A built-in token scanner checks for honeypots, hidden drains, and manipulated supply before a single trade goes through. PepetoSwap handles every swap at zero fees so the full position stays intact, and cross-chain transfers between Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Solana land at full value with nothing subtracted.
SolidProof completed a full audit before the presale went live, and a Binance operations veteran manages the listing timeline. Staking rewards sit at 164% APY, growing positions every day while shrinking available supply.
The gap between today’s price and Pepe’s $0.00002803 record on matching supply sits at 148x. A $5,000 entry turns into $740,000 at that move. When the crypto news covers the Binance listing, the presale price will already be history, and the wallets that moved now will be the ones everyone else reads about.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) Analysis T182
Hyperliquid trades at $79.45 per CoinMarketCap, 4.5% below its $82 all-time high after gaining 34% in one week. Open interest crossed $13 billion, and the platform hit $6.5 million in daily fees. Market cap: $20 billion.
From our view, HYPE targets $100 by year end if the CFTC path opens US volume, with 67% odds per prediction markets. But $79 to $100 is 28%, strong for a $19 billion asset but not portfolio-changing. Our analysis shows the ceiling: HYPE’s execution is among the best in DeFi, but returns at this size come in percentages, not multiples. A presale still open at early entry with one Binance listing ahead delivers multiples, and that is the crypto news gap the market has not priced in.
Conclusion
You already saw what happened this week. The crypto news showed HYPE exploding 34% on a presidential endorsement, and every wallet that positioned before the announcement collected. But HYPE already sits at $19 billion, and the next move from here is measured in percentages, not multiples.
The presale that seals for good the moment the Binance listing goes live is where the real 2026 crypto news gets written. HYPE’s 34% week already happened. Pepeto’s 148x from presale entry has not started yet, and the rounds filling right now are the last ones before the entry price disappears from the market for good.
