The play-and-earn (P2E) gaming ecosystem known as Decentral Games is introducing a new mode to their immensely popular ICE Poker game called Sit-n-Go (SNG) Tournaments. This mode will enable rapid-fire, single-elimination tournaments in which users fight for ICE wearables and token payouts in the forms of ICE and xDG. Decentral Games is the industry leader when it comes to Metaverse gaming. They develop games and social experiences within the Metaverse, which receive tens of thousands of new users each and every month. ICE Poker, the company’s flagship offering, is responsible for more than 60% of all daily active users in Decentraland.
According to Matthew Howells-Barby, CMO at Decentral Games, “We’ve listened to our community, many of whom became priced out by our regular wearables. We wanted to create a fast-paced ‘entry-level’ circuit of tournaments, so we developed Sit-n-Go. Thanks to the blinds and the ability to play on mobile, it’s guaranteed to be fast-paced and action-packed. Players can refine their craft and eventually accumulate enough to obtain the coveted All-Access Wearable.”
Fast-Paced Tournaments With Lucrative Rewards
ICE Poker SNG is a six-player poker game that requires players to make blind bets of 10/20 chips and doubles them every four minutes. Blinds are obligatory wagers that are aimed to keep tournaments moving quickly. Each game is anticipated to last approximately 45 minutes. The champions of each game are awarded Tournament Badges, which may be traded in for tokens that can be used to purchase wearables, ICE accessories, ICE, and xDG. Second-place winners receive a refund of the Shine they used to enter the competition.
Each tournament requires participants to use the wearable and Shine system in order to participate. Players are required to purchase a Tournament, Flex, or All Access wearable. Tournament Wearables are exclusive to SNG tournaments, Flex Wearables to the ICE Poker Flex App, and All Access Wearables to both Decentraland and the Flex app. To participate in a tournament, participants need to have a specified quantity of Shine on their wearable, which may be refreshed with ICE tokens. Several tournaments and activities will have varying Shine requirements, and the quantity of Tournament Badges earned will be proportional to the amount of Shine expended.
The entry requirements for Sit-n-Go tournaments are far lower than those for the ordinary Challenge mode. This enables competent players who do not have access to a significant amount of money to begin playing with a Tournament Wearable, demonstrate their worth, and eventually progress to Flex or the All Access Wearable. A further use case and a potential source of demand for the ICE token may be found inside the ICE Poker community with the SNG events. A portion of the ICE used for Shine is burnt as opposed to being redistributed to winners, serving as a token sink for the game economy.
The Next Evolution Of Play-To-Earn Ecosystems
Decentral Games ICE Poker is a free Metaverse poker game in which users compete on a daily leaderboard and earn tokens by carrying out everyday challenges. ICE is the in-game currency that both encourages player liquidity and allows for the upgrading of items already found within the game. DG is the governance token that offers community votes to adjust financial advantages and distribute fees accruing in the Decentralized Games treasury.
Players need to acquire at least one ICE Wearable in order to take part in the event, and either purchase or delegation can do this. A predetermined amount of Chips is allotted to each player for usage in ICE Poker. The ICE Poker economic architecture is the beginning of a new chapter in the development of Decentral Games, emphasizing EV-positive economic potential for game players while integrating seven billion digital souls into The Open Metaverse. The team’s goal is to be an early gateway by enabling anyone to join its community and make money while playing familiar games, beginning with Poker.
