TCI, October 20 — Plaza Premium Lounge, the world’s largest network of independent airport lounges, has entered into a new partnership with KuCard, a Visa-issued crypto debit card developed by leading cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin. The agreement grants KuCard users special access and benefits across Plaza Premium Lounge’s global network, marking the company’s first direct collaboration with the cryptocurrency industry.
Under the new partnership, KuCard holders will receive a 20% discount when visiting any Plaza Premium Lounge worldwide, enhancing their travel experience with access to premium relaxation and hospitality services. This move aligns with a growing trend of integrating blockchain-based financial products into established industries, particularly in the travel and hospitality space.
KuCard is designed to simplify the use of digital assets in daily life. As a Visa-enabled debit card, it lets users pay at merchants globally by converting cryptocurrencies into fiat currency in real time at the moment of purchase. The card supports a variety of digital assets and is compatible with major digital wallets, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Additional features include transaction monitoring and embedded security controls, aiming to make crypto spending both seamless and secure.
With operations in over 600 airports across 150+ countries, Plaza Premium Lounge serves more than 24 million passengers annually. Its lounges are known for delivering traveler-centric services, offering comfort, convenience, and hospitality at airports around the world. The partnership introduces a new avenue for crypto-enabled payments in a sector where traditional financial services have long dominated.
“This partnership with Plaza Premium Lounge highlights a key advancement in merging cryptocurrency with established industries, demonstrating how digital finance can enhance accessibility and efficiency in hospitality,” said Axl Zhong, Lead of KuCard. “From KuCard’s viewpoint, it pioneers new models for crypto adoption, encouraging interoperability between fintech and travel sectors to create more inclusive ecosystems that drive innovation across global markets.”
As KuCard continues to develop its offering, the integration with Plaza Premium Lounge underscores its broader mission: to make cryptocurrency adoption practical, secure, and relevant to real-world experiences, especially for global travelers seeking modern payment options on the go.
