Quick Answer: Internet Computer (ICP) trades near $2.68 as of October 24, 2026, with a market cap of about $1.5 billion. That is about 99.6% below its all-time high of $750.73, set on launch day in May 2021, and only about a third above its record low of $1.98 from October 2025. Forecast models updated this month put ICP between about $2 and $3 at the end of 2026, and most keep it below $5 in 2030; only CoinLore’s bullish scenarios reach double digits. The key catalysts are DFINITY’s Mission 70 plan to cut ICP inflation, Chain Fusion links such as the new ckSOL token, AI app building on the network and the direction of the wider crypto market.
Internet Computer sits in a paradox familiar to technically ambitious blockchain projects: its developers are among the most active in crypto, while its token trades more than 99% below launch-day levels. In a six-month ranking of GitHub activity shared in March 2026, ICP placed first with 2,044 commits from more than 100 contributors, ahead of Mina, Bitcoin and Chainlink. In 2026 the DFINITY Foundation has turned its attention to the token itself, with a plan called Mission 70 to cut ICP inflation by at least 70%, while Chain Fusion now connects ICP directly to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. The market has not yet rewarded either effort.
This guide covers ICP price predictions year by year from 2026 to 2030, what is driving the token today, and how the major forecast platforms compare on their long-term outlooks.
What Is Internet Computer (ICP)?
Internet Computer is a Layer 1 blockchain developed by the DFINITY Foundation, founded in 2016 by Dominic Williams. Launched in May 2021, it aims to let developers run websites, applications and enterprise systems entirely on a blockchain instead of on cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
The network is governed by the Network Nervous System (NNS), a decentralized autonomous organization that votes on protocol upgrades, subnet management and token economics. ICP smart contracts, called “canisters,” can serve web content, process web requests and store data directly on-chain, which makes ICP one of the few blockchains that can host complete applications without off-chain servers.
Chain Fusion is ICP’s approach to cross-chain activity: canisters can hold assets and sign transactions on other blockchains without traditional bridges. ckBTC and ckETH, tokens backed 1:1 by bitcoin and ether, have run on ICP since 2023, and ckSOL, backed 1:1 by SOL, went live in October 2026. DFINITY’s Caffeine platform lets users build and run apps on ICP by describing them to an AI in plain language.
ICP is the network’s utility token. It pays for computation after being converted into “cycles,” a process that burns the ICP, and it is staked in the NNS to vote on proposals and earn rewards. ICP has no maximum supply. According to CoinMarketCap, about 558 million ICP are in circulation, giving it a market cap of about $1.5 billion as of October 2026.
Internet Computer (ICP) Price Today and Market Overview
As of October 24, 2026, ICP trades at about $2.68, roughly 99.6% below its all-time high of $750.73 from May 10, 2021, according to CoinMarketCap. Its all-time low of about $1.98 came during the market crash of October 10, 2025, and ICP fell close to that level again on August 1, 2026, at about $2.00. The token ended 2025 near $2.84, so it is down about 6% this year.
CoinGecko data puts 24-hour trading volume at about $46 million, and CoinMarketCap shows about $54 million. ICP trades below its 50-day moving average of about $2.98 but above its 200-day average of about $2.55, with a 14-day RSI near 39, according to CoinCodex data from October 24. It closed higher on 13 of the past 30 days.
The biggest story of the year has been Mission 70. On January 13, DFINITY published a plan to cut ICP inflation by at least 70% by the end of 2026, from 9.72% to about 2.92% a year. ICP jumped about 25% the next day and reached its 2026 high of about $4.80 on January 15. The NNS approved the plan in March, and in April Dominic Williams said total inflation had already fallen by about 33%. The Mission 70 white paper also cut the maximum staking lock-up from eight years to two and commits 20% of revenue from DFINITY’s planned Cloud Engines to buying and burning ICP.
Other 2026 developments were mixed. In February, DFINITY signed a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan’s Digital Authority to create a Pakistan subnet. In October, ckSOL went live, and Williams alleged that NEAR used technology derived from DFINITY’s work in NEAR Intents. No lawsuit has been filed, and ICP fell about 6% as the dispute broke, amid a broader market decline.
Network usage remains small. DefiLlama data shows about $8.2 million locked in ICP’s DeFi apps, about $615,000 in daily DEX volume and about $5,400 in daily chain fees as of October 24. That gap between developer activity and on-chain demand is the central question for the price outlook.
ICP Price History Snapshot
| Year | Key Price Level |
|---|---|
| May 2021 | All-time high of $750.73 on launch day |
| Jun 2021 | Fell below $100 within weeks |
| 2022 | Ended the year near $3.93 |
| 2023 | Traded between about $3 and $6.50 for most of the year, then jumped in December to close near $13.30 |
| Mar 2024 | Cycle peak; closed the month near $18.80 |
| 2024 | Ended the year near $10 |
| Oct 2025 | All-time low of about $1.98 (October 10) |
| Nov 2025 | Spiked from below $3 to about $9.70 (November 8) |
| 2025 | Ended the year near $2.84 |
| Jan 2026 | Mission 70 rally to about $4.80 |
| Oct 2026 | Trading near $2.68 |
ICP’s launch-day high came amid extreme excitement around DFINITY’s long-awaited mainnet, and its slide to below $10 within about a year is one of the steepest declines of any major crypto asset. Since the March 2024 peak, ICP has lost more than 85% of its value as new token issuance added supply and DeFi activity on the network stayed small. Mission 70 is DFINITY’s most direct attempt yet to change the supply side of that story.
ICP Price Prediction 2026
The last two months of 2026 are a test of whether Mission 70 can steady the token. The plan’s deadline for a 70% cut in inflation is the end of the year, and DFINITY’s white paper says the reward cuts alone reduce issuance by about 44%, with the rest expected to come from higher burns.
Forecast models for the end of 2026 are flat to bearish:
| Source | Low | Average | High | Updated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (December 2026) | $2.70 | $2.73 | $2.74 | Oct 24, 2026 |
| Changelly (December 2026) | $2.74 | $2.94 | $3.14 | Oct 24, 2026 |
| CryptoPredictions.com (December 2026) | $2.21 | $2.60 | $3.25 | Oct 24, 2026 |
| Traders Union (December 2026) | $2.30 | $2.35 | $2.40 | Oct 24, 2026 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $1.18 | $1.97 | $9.19 | Oct 24, 2026 |
CoinCodex and Changelly expect ICP to end the year close to its current price, at about $2.73 and $2.94. CryptoPredictions.com sees about $2.60, Traders Union about $2.35, and CoinLore’s base case is the most bearish at about $1.97, which would be a new all-time low. CoinLore’s bull case of about $9.19 is the only forecast that implies a major rally.
For ICP to retake $3 to $3.50 this year, it would need to climb back above its 50-day moving average near $2.98, a recovery in the wider altcoin market and evidence that burns are rising toward Mission 70’s targets. A break below $2.00 would put the bearish targets in play.
ICP Price Prediction 2027
2027 brings the next Mission 70 milestones. The white paper targets total minting of about 5.42% a year by January 2027 from reward cuts alone, and DFINITY plans higher fees for computation and a queue to stagger large unstaking.
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (December 2027) | $2.04 | $2.08 | $2.14 |
| Changelly | $2.07 | $2.61 | $3.14 |
| CryptoPredictions.com (December 2027) | $2.41 | $2.84 | $3.54 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $1.39 | $2.32 | $15.42 |
| Traders Union (end of 2027) | n/a | $1.18 | n/a |
The models diverge. Changelly averages about $2.61 and CryptoPredictions.com about $2.84 for 2027, close to today’s price. CoinCodex sees a dip to about $2.08, CoinLore’s base case is about $2.32, and Traders Union is the most bearish at about $1.18. CoinLore’s bull case reaches about $15.42.
The key variable is demand for computation. If Caffeine and other AI tools bring more apps onto ICP, more ICP is burned as cycles, and Cloud Engines would add buy-and-burn demand on top. If usage stays near current levels, the models suggest ICP will remain range-bound.
ICP Price Prediction 2028
2028 coincides with the next Bitcoin halving, expected around April 2028. ICP’s biggest rallies since launch have come during broad crypto bull markets, including the run to its 2024 peak.
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (December 2028) | $2.25 | $2.67 | $3.09 |
| Changelly | $1.79 | $2.13 | $3.04 |
| CryptoPredictions.com (December 2028) | $2.01 | $2.37 | $2.96 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $1.89 | $3.15 | $14.08 |
| Traders Union (end of 2028) | n/a | $0.89 | n/a |
CoinCodex projects about $2.67 for December 2028 and CoinLore’s base case is about $3.15, the only central forecasts close to or above today’s price. Changelly averages about $2.13, CryptoPredictions.com about $2.37, and Traders Union expects a slide to about $0.89.
For context, $10, where ICP ended 2024, would imply a market cap of about $5.6 billion on today’s larger supply. None of the main models gets there by 2028, although CoinLore’s bull case reaches about $14.
ICP Price Prediction 2029
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (December 2029) | $1.83 | $1.90 | $1.98 |
| Changelly | $1.78 | $1.98 | $2.58 |
| CryptoPredictions.com (December 2029) | $2.49 | $2.93 | $3.67 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $2.00 | $3.33 | $36.39 |
| Traders Union (end of 2029) | n/a | $0.88 | n/a |
Forecasts for 2029 remain subdued. CoinCodex sees about $1.90 for December 2029 and Changelly averages about $1.98, both below today’s price, while CryptoPredictions.com expects about $2.93 and CoinLore’s base case about $3.33. Traders Union stays near $0.88. CoinLore’s bull case jumps to about $36, the highest figure among these models before 2030.
The spread between these models reflects real uncertainty about whether ICP’s developer activity turns into fee-paying demand. Until network usage grows well beyond today’s levels, most models keep ICP near its current range.
ICP Price Prediction 2030
2030 is the most widely cited long-term horizon for ICP investors, and the range of forecasts is wide.
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (December 2030) | $2.34 | $2.42 | $2.50 |
| Changelly | $1.86 | $2.35 | $2.86 |
| CryptoPredictions.com (December 2030) | $3.33 | $3.92 | $4.90 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $2.86 | $4.76 | $24.54 |
| Traders Union (end of 2030) | n/a | $0.91 | n/a |
CoinLore’s base case is the most constructive at about $4.76, followed by CryptoPredictions.com at about $3.92, while CoinCodex ($2.42) and Changelly ($2.35) keep ICP near today’s price. Traders Union expects about $0.91, and CoinLore’s bull case reaches about $24.54.
Earlier versions of this page cited 2030 targets as high as $70 from more aggressive forecasters. None of the models updated in October 2026 comes close. Looking further out, CoinLore’s base case reaches about $16 in 2035 and $37.50 in 2040, while CoinCodex peaks at about $5.28 in 2049 and Changelly averages about $4.36 for 2050.
A reasonable reading for 2030 is a range of roughly $1 to $5, with any move toward double digits depending on Mission 70 making ICP’s supply flat or deflationary and on real demand for the network’s computing and AI services.
What Drives the Internet Computer (ICP) Price?
Mission 70 and token supply. ICP has no maximum supply, and new tokens are minted as rewards for stakers and node providers. Inflation was about 9.72% a year in January 2026. Mission 70 aims to cut that by at least 70% through lower rewards and higher burns, and delivery on the burn side, which depends on real usage, is the most direct driver of ICP’s supply outlook.
Chain Fusion and cross-chain activity. Chain Fusion lets ICP canisters work with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana without traditional bridges, removing one of DeFi’s biggest risks. The launch of ckSOL in October adds Solana to ckBTC and ckETH, but none of these has yet produced large on-chain volumes: ICP’s DeFi apps hold only about $8 million.
AI and app building. DFINITY is betting that AI tools such as Caffeine will let non-developers build and run apps on ICP. Every app consumes cycles, which burns ICP, so growth in AI-built apps would feed directly into token demand. Our guide to AI crypto explains how ICP compares with other AI-focused networks.
Developer activity. ICP regularly ranks at or near the top of GitHub activity rankings for crypto projects. So far, that strong developer activity has not translated into comparable network usage or price performance.
Regulation and access. ICP was not among the tokens the SEC and CFTC named as digital commodities in March 2026, and no US spot ICP ETF has launched. That leaves it without the ETF and futures access routes that tokens such as Solana and Chainlink now have.
Bitcoin market cycles. Despite its distinct technology, ICP still moves with the wider crypto market. Its largest rallies, including the run to the March 2024 peak, came during Bitcoin bull phases, and the next halving is expected around April 2028.
Staking and unstaking. Staked ICP is locked in “neurons” for a chosen period. Mission 70 cut the maximum lock-up from eight years to two, with yields ranging from about 2.3% for the shortest lock-up to about 7% for two years, according to the white paper. A planned queue would stagger large unstaking, which matters because tokens leaving staking add to the liquid supply.
Is Internet Computer (ICP) a Good Investment?
ICP at about $2.68 trades close to its all-time low, with a market cap of about $1.5 billion, while DFINITY is making the biggest changes to its token economics since launch. That gives the token a clear, testable thesis: if Mission 70 delivers and Caffeine and Chain Fusion bring real usage, supply growth slows while demand for cycles rises.
The bear case is real. Usage remains small, with about $8 million locked in ICP’s DeFi apps and daily fees of a few thousand dollars, and burns were running far below Mission 70’s target in DFINITY forum analysis earlier this year. ICP lacks the regulatory clarity and ETF access that other large tokens gained in 2026, and the dispute with NEAR adds headline risk. Most forecast models updated this month expect ICP to stay between about $1 and $5 through 2030.
For long-term investors with a high tolerance for risk, ICP is a bet that DFINITY’s technology turns into paying demand. Rather than trying to time a single entry, long-term buyers often spread purchases over time and size positions for a market that has already fallen more than 99% from its peak.
Short-term traders should watch the 50-day moving average near $2.98 and the 200-day near $2.55. A move back above $3 would be the first technical signal for a recovery, while a break below about $2.00 would mean a new all-time low.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the ICP price prediction for 2026?
Forecasts for the end of 2026 range from about $1.97 in CoinLore’s base case to $2.35 at Traders Union, $2.60 at CryptoPredictions.com, $2.73 at CoinCodex and $2.94 at Changelly. ICP trades near $2.68 in late October, so most models expect it to finish the year close to current levels. Only CoinLore’s bull case, about $9.19, implies a major rally.
What is the Internet Computer price prediction for 2030?
For 2030, CoinLore’s base case is about $4.76, CryptoPredictions.com expects about $3.92, CoinCodex about $2.42 and Changelly about $2.35, while Traders Union sees about $0.91. CoinLore’s bull case reaches about $24.54. Most of these forecasts keep ICP below $5, far from the $25 to $70 targets that circulated when the token traded higher.
Can ICP reach $10 again?
It would need to rise about 3.7 times from $2.68, which implies a market cap of about $5.6 billion on today’s supply of about 558 million ICP. ICP last traded near $10 in November 2025, when it briefly reached about $9.70. Among the models reviewed here, only CoinLore’s base case approaches $10, around 2032, while its bull case passes $10 as early as 2027.
Will ICP ever reach $100 or $1,000?
Not in any current model’s base case. At $100, ICP would be worth about $56 billion, and at $1,000 about $558 billion, more than 370 times its current market value. The only forecast at or above $100 is CoinLore’s 2040 bull case of about $108. CoinCodex’s long-range model peaks at about $5.28 in 2049.
What is Mission 70?
Mission 70 is DFINITY’s plan, published in January 2026, to cut ICP’s inflation by at least 70% by the end of 2026, from 9.72% to about 2.92% a year. It lowers staking and node rewards, cuts the maximum lock-up from eight years to two, and plans to burn ICP with part of the revenue from Cloud Engines. The NNS approved it in March 2026.
Why did ICP fall so much from its all-time high?
ICP launched in May 2021 at extremely high prices, briefly reaching $750.73 on its first day. Its valuation then reset as more tokens became liquid and the 2022 bear market hit crypto. Since then, inflation from staking and node rewards, about 9.7% a year at the start of 2026, has added supply faster than demand for the network has grown.
Which platforms provide the most reliable ICP price predictions?
None has a reliable record for a volatile asset like ICP. Forecasts on this page from earlier in 2026 reached as high as $70 for 2030, while the models updated in October 2026 mostly stay below $5. Algorithmic sites such as CoinCodex and Changelly update daily but often disagree with each other. Compare several sources and check when each was last updated.
