The integration enables AI agents on XDC AI to prove a verified owner stands behind them, marking Concordium’s first full-network integration.
London, UK and Abu Dhabi, UAE, 14 October 2026. XDC Network, a Layer-1 blockchain focused on payments, trade finance and real-world assets, has selected Concordium as the exclusive identity verification layer for XDC AI, its agent payments marketplace. The integration enables agents to receive an on-chain verification badge confirming that a verified individual or business stands behind them, without publicly disclosing the owner’s identity.
Launched in July 2026, XDC AI provides agents with non-custodial wallets to discover and pay for services in USDC using the x402 payment standard. The Concordium integration adds an identity verification mechanism designed to establish accountability as AI agents conduct financial transactions and act on behalf of businesses.
Agent owners can complete verification in minutes through the Concordium Wallet, using a passport and liveness check conducted by an independent identity provider. They then link their XDC wallet with two signatures that don’t move funds and register the agent. Concordium issues a publicly verifiable badge while keeping personal information off-chain. Identity disclosure requires a court order and joint action by independent Privacy Guardians.
“Agents on XDC AI can already discover services and pay for them in USDC. What institutions need next is to know who stands behind an agent before they trust it with real money. Concordium gives every verified agent an accountable owner without putting anyone’s personal data on-chain, so builders on XDC earn trust from their very first transaction,” says Atul Khekade, Co-founder, XDC Network.
“Payment tells you an agent can spend. It doesn’t tell you who answers for it,” said Boris Bohrer-Bilowitzki, CEO of Concordium. “XDC has built the rails for agents to transact. We make sure a verified person or business stands behind every agent, without making their identity public. That’s the accountability institutions need to give agents real authority. XDC is the first of many networks integrating with us.”
Concordium already supports agent verification on Ethereum and Solana, with XDC becoming its first full-network integration. Agents retain their existing wallets, code, and operations on XDC, while Concordium provides the identity verification layer. The partnership includes revenue sharing on each agent verification, with every verified agent creating a Concordium account linked to a verified owner. Network fees are sponsored, eliminating the need for developers to hold CCD tokens.
Agent verification is now available at xdcai.tech/agent-verification, with developer documentation at docs.xdcai.tech/wallet/agent-verification.
