Using the Tezotop builder, anyone can build new Tezotops that will be added to Tezotopia. It takes 0.50 UNO and 50 ENR to create a Tezotop. Once you have minted your own, you can either sell it on the marketplace or use it for its yield farming qualities, which can be increased by adding buildings.
Tezotopia
Real-Time Strategy gaming platform Tezotopia has been in development for quite some time and the presale of functional NFTs for the game has been an ongoing success. The Tezotopia team has expanded and a partnership has been announced with Quicksave Interactive, which will build the battle arena section of the gaming platform.
The yield farming aspects of the game have been live for the first blocks of land that have been sold so far. These NFTs have been generating yield for players from the moment they bought them. The blocks are called Tezotops and generate resources that can either be sold or used in the game. Tezotops generate UNO (the currency in the game), minerals (MIN), Energy (ENR) end machinery (MCH).
These resources can be used to build further items in the game, which in turn can be sold on the Tezotopia marketplace, marketplace/tezotops or used in the game once the game goes live. Read more about resources, Tezotops and artifacts here.
Marketplace
This component of Tezotopia is currently live. New items are dropped here by the creator of Tezotopia Gif.Games. The items are NFTs that are registered on the Tezos blockchain. There are four categories:
Tezotops. These are blocks of land. Each block has a different appearance and specific yield farming multipliers.
Units. These are items that will be used in the battle modus. (Expected to go live around Christmas this year.)
Artifacts. These are items that can be added to Tezotops that are created in the Tezotop builder. Artifacts can’t be added to existing Tezotops. (More about the Tezotop builder later) Most artifacts are not just decorative, but also include a multiplier that increases the yield farming aspects of the Tezotop. Multipliers only work once deployed on a Tezotop.
Collectibles. These are mostly Battle tactic NFTs which allow players to initiate special attacks or defenses. Amongst other collectibles are some other items, for example, an NFT of the feet of the founder of Gif.Games. Whether or not these have some functionality remains a mystery, possibly till the end of time.
If you want to be able to buy an item first hand (so not on the secondary market), you’ll have to be fast. Drops happen at different times during the week and are sold out in minutes. They are announced on the official announcement Telegram channel of Gif.Games and at the very moment they are dropped and up for sale on the marketplace. Once bought by players and collectors, a portion of the items are offered on the secondary market which is also set up on the marketplace. If you are looking for a first-hand buy, make sure you select gifdotgames in the Possession filter on the marketplace.
Tezotop Builder
The first 300 Tezotops are created and sold by Gif.Games. All original 300 Tezotops have now been sold and the Tezotop builder will go live soon. Using the Tezotop builder, anyone can build new Tezotops that will be added to Tezotopia. It takes 0.50 UNO and 50 ENR to create a Tezotop. Once you have minted your own, you can either sell it on the marketplace or use it for its yield farming qualities, which can be increased by adding buildings (more about buildings later).
Tezotops are a scarce and popular good as we have seen in the sales so far. To ensure everyone has a fair chance of minting a Tezotop, a raffle system has been designed that allows you to mint a new Tezotop. To enter the raffle and to win a ticket to mint, you will need to lock 0.50 UNO and 50 ENR for 9 days. If you do not win a ticket, you can retrieve your 0.50 UNO and 50 ENR.
Tickets To Mint will be listed in a new category on the Marketplace and will be raffled individually. The raffle schedule is as follows:
- First Two Weeks – 144 Tickets to Mint raffled per day (48 winners every 8 hours)
- Next Two Months – 72 Tickets to Mint raffled per day (24 winners every 8 hours)
- Next Six Months – 36 Tickets to Mint raffled per day (12 winners every 8 hours)
- Thereafter – 24 Tickets to Mint raffled per day (8 winners every 8 hours)
Tickets are non-transferable. You won’t be able to resell or transfer them to other wallets. If you win a ticket to mint, you can design your Tezotop. You need artifacts to be able to do so. You gain artifacts during battle or can purchase them from the Tezotopia Marketplace. You need a minimum of 2 artifacts on one Tezotop and a maximum of 4. The maximum amount of multiplier per resource is set at 9. Every block starts out with 1 multiplier for all 4 types of resources. So the max amount of multipliers per resource you can add on one Tezotop is x8. You can read more about building Tezotops here.
Buildings
Buildings are different from artifacts. Buildings can be created/ bought with UNO, MCH, ENR, and MIN. You can create a maximum of 9 buildings on 1 Tezotop with a maximum of 2 of each kind on 1 Tezotop. In contrast to artifacts, Buildings can be created on existing Tezotops. Owners of the Tezotop can also choose to destroy buildings on their Tezotop if they want to replace them with a different kind.
There are different types of buildings with different types of functionality. Some increase resource production. And some can build repair battle units. In battle mode, a wide variety of battle units can be used. Clones, drones, spy units, air support units, artillery units, all contribute to a diverse battle mode gameplay. And buildings like barracks, space hangars, and artillery depots allow you to build and repair certain units. This way you can add to your own army, or sell units on the marketplace.
Buildings will come in November. You can read more about buildings here.
Battle Mode
Not every detail about the gameplay has been released yet, but players will be able to battle each other in the battle mode, where two armies will battle for victory.
The winner will receive a loot box that can be claimed in the Tezotopia Marketplace. Once claimed, items from the loot box will be added to your wallet. Lootboxes are randomized but can include $UNO, $GIF, units, battle tactics, and artifacts.
