Time Raiders has partnered with Polygon Studios to provide gamers a Play-and-Earn adventure that is focused on gameplay first
Polygon Studios Partnership Details
In a partnership with Polygon Studios, the NFT, gaming, and Metaverse branch of Polygon, Utopian Game Labs’ time-travel play-and-earn game project Time Raiders will be able to earn money while playing. Time Raiders, a shoot-and-loot game designed on the Polygon blockchain, pays players with NFTs and the game’s native token, $XPND, in addition to providing them with exciting shoot-and-loot action. The cooperation with Polygon Studios prepares the ground for the impending open beta launch of the game, that will allow a large segment of the gaming community to participate in the adventure.
Blockchain-based play-to-earn games provide an enticing use case for non-fungible tokens and digital assets, allowing regular people to earn money while enjoying their favorite pastime. Early comers to the NFT gaming market, on the other hand, frequently suffer from uninspiring gameplay and prohibitively expensive entry hurdles for new players. This void presents an opportunity for developers of gameplay-centered blockchain projects to step in and build play-and-earn experiences as an alternative to traditional play-to-earn games.
Time Raiders is a play-and-earn (P2E) game project that places a strong emphasis on the “play” aspect above all else. It was developed by a team with more than 20 years of experience in the game development industry. Utopian Game Labs creates console games based on iconic brands such as Star Wars, Doctor Who, and Die Hard, and they do so in a way that is centered on the gameplay while maintaining graphics and a degree of polish that are on pace with mainstream AAA products.
The cooperation between Polygon Studios and Time Raiders establishes a community platform for the game ahead of the game’s open beta test. With future upgrades, it will also assist Utopian Game Labs, which had previously obtained an early-stage investment from Polygon Studios to fund the project, in expanding its scope by adding additional features and levels to the game.
Historical Raiders is a high-octane treasure hunt that takes players through numerous time periods and historic locales. The game has an extensive variety of player-versus-environment (PVE) and player-versus-player (PVP) game modes to keep players entertained. The game does not need an original NFT purchase or the use of a cryptocurrency wallet in order to participate, in order to provide maximum accessibility.

Steven Bryson-Haynes, VP and Head of Business Development at Polygon, said: “At Polygon we believe blockchain gaming is going to be one of the key growth pillars in Web3 over the coming years and expect it to rival mainstream gaming globally. The Play-to-Earn space has seen significant growth and we are particularly interested to see how this evolves as higher quality of games, with a focus on gameplay, fun as well as incentives begin to come to market. This is why we are particularly excited to work with Utopian Game Labs as they pioneer the Play & Earn space with ‘Time Raiders’, their time travel, NFT treasure hunt game.”
Anthony Charlton, CEO at Utopian Game Labs, added: “We are very proud of our early partnership with Polygon Studios. Securing so much interest before we launch our open beta will only push us further to add more community-centered concepts and features to Time Raiders, including user-built levels and new game modes.”
