Broadridge launched DLX on Sept. 9 as a digital-asset infrastructure platform for financial institutions operating across tokenized and traditional markets. The company says the new system connects onchain and offchain workflows through one operating layer rather than requiring firms to assemble separate tools for each stage.
The company announcement distributed by PR Newswire says DLX launches with capabilities to connect to the DTCC Tokenization Service through Canton and other networks. Broadridge described broader use cases as forthcoming, so the release supports a current platform launch but not a claim that every planned connection or market function is already in production.
DLX spans the tokenized-asset lifecycle
Broadridge lists issuance, trading, settlement, servicing, custody, governance and distribution among the workflows covered by DLX. Its modular, multi-chain design is intended to let institutions issue and distribute their own tokens while also participating in markets for assets created by other issuers.
The platform also supports self-custody, third-party custody and hybrid arrangements. According to Broadridge, clients can choose among those models according to their strategy, risk controls and regulatory requirements. The company positions this orchestration layer as a way to connect smart contracts, wallets, payment rails, compliance providers and existing books-and-records systems.
Broadridge extends its repo infrastructure
DLX builds on Broadridge’s Distributed Ledger Repo business rather than replacing it. Broadridge says DLR processes more than $350 billion in daily activity across thousands of transactions, providing the production base for the wider platform. The launch extends that foundation beyond securities financing into multiple asset classes, including bonds, equities, funds, private-market assets and money-market instruments.
The expansion follows Broadridge’s earlier work on collateral mobility. BlockchainReporter recently reported that Broadridge added G7 government securities to its tokenized repo network, a narrower development focused on the assets available through DLR. DLX is a separate event because it packages a broader set of tokenization and operating functions into a newly launched platform.
The launch targets institutional fragmentation
Global Head of Digital Innovation Horacio Barakat said DLX is designed to give market participants a faster path onchain without abandoning the controls and operating models they already use. That is a company-stated objective, not evidence that clients have already achieved specific savings or adoption levels.
The immediate development is the availability of Broadridge’s integrated platform and its stated initial connectivity. The announcement does not name launch customers, disclose pricing or provide a timetable for the broader use cases it references. Those omissions leave adoption and expansion as items for later verification while establishing DLX as Broadridge’s current multi-asset tokenization offering.
