TangleID has released their client/mobile framework licensed under the MIT license. The announcement, which was made via Twitter on the 2nd of October 2018, stated that BiiLabs will also share in the use case.
This new release is heavily touted as a commercial purpose platform compatible with the two major mobile app platforms, IOS and Android.
TangleID’s design, which ensures greater ease of use and security in identification, can be used by app developers who store their data on Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, Dropbox, and so on.

TangleID is a decentralized identity application that is based on IOTA/the Tangle. This enables it to be more efficiently and inexpensively executed.
In the past, identity applications were much more expensive and less efficient because they were subject to centralized third parties. This increased the risk of fraud and hacking.
TangleID has been able to bypass these limitations by providing an avenue for users to hold their own private keys and numerical addresses. This poses a great advantage for firms who store their identity-related data on platforms such as Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, Dropbox, etc. By using the Tangle platform, they are able to update their data by themselves and control their digital assets.
In terms of information maintenance, TangleID uses an outside database for both that and storage. TangleID has now released its Mobile app which makes use of decentralized applications and API to make it easier for its users to access its features.
New Commercial platforms
TangleID’s new client/mobile framework ensures that it is now commercially available, meaning that app developers who will make use of identification technology in their apps have a safer and more secure way to store this information.
Data and identity privacy is also a very hard-hitting issue for internet users in modern times. That, coupled with the large number of app developers who will need such services, the market for TangleID is huge.
It was also constructed with React Native, which means that it will be compatible with both the IOS and Android platforms.
