Quick Answer: VeChain (VET) trades near $0.0066 as of October 26, 2026, with a market cap of about $566 million (#81 on CoinMarketCap). It is down about 37% this year and about 97.6% below its April 2021 all-time high of $0.278. For the end of 2026, the central estimates of the models we track range from about $0.0038 (Traders Union) to $0.0073 (BeInCrypto), and their central 2030 estimates run from about $0.0036 (CoinCodex) to $0.013 (CoinLore). Reaching $1 would require a market cap of about $86 billion, roughly 152 times today’s.
VeChain is a layer 1 blockchain built for businesses, best known for supply chain tracking, product authentication and sustainability data. Its main token, VET, is used for staking and governance, while a second token, VeThor (VTHO), pays transaction fees. Since the Hayabusa upgrade in December 2025, VET earns VTHO only when it is staked, and about 15 billion VET now sits in the network’s staking contract.
This update covers the current VET price, what changed at VeChain in 2026, the latest forecasts for 2026 to 2030 and what it would take for VET to reach $1.
Key Takeaways
- VET trades about 97.6% below its all-time high of $0.2782, set on April 17, 2021, according to CoinMarketCap
- The token is down about 37% in 2026: it peaked at $0.0132 on January 6, fell to $0.00428 on June 25, then more than doubled to $0.00989 by September 23 before giving back about a third
- Since Hayabusa (December 2, 2025), VET earns rewards only through staking; on-chain data show about 15 billion VET, roughly 17% of supply, in the network’s staking contract
- Kraken listed VET in January 2026, adding to existing spot markets on Binance, Coinbase and Crypto.com
- Central estimates from current models put VET between about $0.0038 and $0.0073 at the end of 2026, and their central 2030 estimates range from about $0.0036 to $0.013
- At $1, VET would need a market cap of about $86 billion, more than XRP’s today

What Is VeChain (VET)?
VeChainThor went live in 2018 with a two-token design. VET is the main token: it is used for staking, governance and as the network’s store of value. VTHO is the gas token that pays for transactions, and the base fee paid in VTHO is burned. Separating the two lets businesses budget transaction costs without being exposed to every swing in VET’s price.
The network targets enterprise and public sector uses such as recording where products come from, verifying authenticity and tracking sustainability data. Its consumer ecosystem, VeBetter, rewards people with B3TR tokens for verified sustainable actions logged through its apps and records those actions on-chain.
VeChain’s development follows a multi-year roadmap it calls Renaissance. The Galactica upgrade in July 2025 laid Ethereum-compatible foundations and started burning the full VTHO base fee. Hayabusa followed on December 2, 2025, and moved the network to staking. Interstellar, the current phase, began with a hard fork on September 16, 2026.
VeChain News: What Has Happened in 2026
Staking replaced passive rewards. Hayabusa ended the old model in which every VET in any wallet generated VTHO. Now 101 validators produce blocks; each must stake at least 25 million VET, keeps 30% of rewards and passes 70% to its delegators. Other holders take part by delegating through VeChain’s StarGate platform. VeChain said in April that VET staked on StarGate had grown from 2.52 billion to 13 billion tokens. On October 26, the network’s built-in staking contract held about 14.97 billion VET, according to on-chain data, about 17% of the circulating supply. In January, VeChain asked holders of legacy nodes to claim any pending rewards by March 15, 2026, and then migrate their nodes to StarGate.
Wider exchange access. Kraken added VET spot trading against the US dollar and the euro in January 2026. Bullish, a regulated exchange, also lists VET and VTHO against USDC; VeChain announced the listing in February. We found no VET delistings in 2026. In Europe, Valour has offered a VeChain exchange-traded product on Sweden’s Spotlight Stock Market since August 2025, but we found no US spot VET ETF filing.
VeBetter and new products. In April 2026, VeChain reported that VeBetter had 5.3 million users, more than 50 live apps and over 50 million verified sustainable actions. In July, it introduced AgentSuite, which lets users turn their expertise into AI agents and list them for hire.
The Interstellar hard fork. On September 16, 2026, VeChain activated VIP-255 at block 25,902,540, the first upgrade of its Interstellar phase. It added 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals that align VeChainThor with Ethereum’s recent upgrades. VeChain said Interstellar “does not change VET or VTHO tokenomics.”
EU Digital Product Passports. The European Commission’s Digital Product Passport registry went live on July 20, 2026, and passports for electric vehicle, light transport and larger industrial batteries become mandatory on February 18, 2027. VeChain partnered with Rekord in November 2025 to target this market, although the EU rules do not require a blockchain.

VET’s market cap peaked at about $16.4 billion on a daily closing basis in April 2021. CoinMarketCap data show its circulating supply has since grown from about 64 billion to about 86 billion tokens, which is one reason the 2021 price is harder to reach than the chart alone suggests. VET lost 81% in 2022, recovered in 2023 and 2024 and then fell 76% in 2025.
In 2026, VET slid from its January 6 high through the first half of the year, and June was its worst month, with a 28% fall. Trading volumes then dried up: in July, VET averaged about $11.9 million a day, the lowest of the year. The recovery started in late August. On August 26, VET gained 17.5%, its best day of 2026, and on August 27 it traded about $92.5 million, the year’s highest volume. We found no confirmed catalyst for the move. VET kept climbing in September, gaining about 12% on September 19, a rise Traders Union linked to the Interstellar fork, and peaked at $0.00989 on September 23. October has erased much of that rally, with VET down about 24% for the month through October 25.
VET Price Prediction 2026
With about two months left in the year, most models expect VET to finish 2026 below today’s price.
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (December 2026) | $0.00562 | $0.00575 | $0.00593 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $0.00248 | $0.00414 | $0.0242 |
| Traders Union (December 2026) | $0.00373 | $0.00380 | $0.00388 |
| BeInCrypto | $0.00436 | $0.00731 | $0.0128 |
CoinCodex expects about $0.0057 by the end of the year, roughly 14% below today’s price. CoinLore’s base case of $0.00414 and Traders Union’s $0.0038 imply declines of about 37% to 42%. BeInCrypto’s average of $0.0073 is the only central estimate above the current price. CoinLore’s bull case of $0.0242 would require VET to more than triple. We do not use the figures from CoinDataFlow, whose VET forecasts were almost the same multiples of the current price as its forecasts for other coins.
VET trades about 17% below its 50-day moving average of $0.0079 but just above its 200-day average of $0.0063, with a 14-day RSI of about 38, according to CoinCodex. CoinCodex lists support at about $0.0066, $0.0065 and $0.0063, and VET is trading just under the first of those levels; resistance sits at about $0.0069, $0.0071 and $0.0072.
Range of central 2026 estimates: about $0.0038 to $0.0073.
VET Price Prediction 2027
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (monthly range) | $0.00348 | $0.00479 | $0.00610 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $0.00341 | $0.00568 | $0.0222 |
| Traders Union (end of 2027) | n/a | $0.00359 | n/a |
| BeInCrypto | $0.00479 | $0.00805 | $0.0141 |
The 2027 averages range from about $0.0036 at Traders Union to $0.0081 at BeInCrypto, so the models disagree on whether VET can hold its current level. These forecasts are mostly algorithmic and built on price history. They do not account for events such as the first EU battery passports in February 2027 or a change in staking demand.
VET Price Prediction 2028 and 2029
| Source | 2028 (central) | 2029 (central) |
|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (average of monthly forecasts) | $0.00346 | $0.00253 |
| CoinLore (base case) | $0.00839 | $0.00886 |
| Traders Union (end of year) | $0.00385 | $0.00312 |
| BeInCrypto (average) | $0.00885 | $0.00974 |
The spread widens further out. CoinCodex and Traders Union expect VET to drift lower, toward $0.0025 to $0.0039, while CoinLore and BeInCrypto see gradual gains to just under $0.01 by 2029.
VET Price Prediction 2030
| Source | Low | Average | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CoinCodex (monthly range; headline target $0.00360) | $0.00230 | $0.00352 | $0.00444 |
| CoinLore (bear / base / bull) | $0.00780 | $0.0130 | $0.0653 |
| Traders Union (end of 2030) | n/a | $0.00399 | n/a |
Central 2030 estimates range from about $0.0036 to $0.013. CoinCodex’s headline 2030 target of $0.0036 is about 45% below the current price, and Traders Union expects about $0.0040. CoinLore’s base case of $0.0130 would roughly double VET. Changelly’s German-language forecast shows $0.067 to $0.083 for 2030, but its model already puts VET at $0.0152 or more in October 2026, more than twice the actual price, so we treat it as an outlier.
All forecasts are third-party model estimates, not investment advice.
VET Price Prediction 2040
Long-range forecasts are highly speculative. CoinCodex projects about $0.0109 by the end of 2040, about 1.7 times today’s price. CoinLore’s base case reaches $0.101, with a bear case of $0.0604 and a bull case of $0.295, just above the 2021 record. Traders Union expects about $0.0030. Changelly’s 2040 figures of more than $5 per VET would imply a market cap above $430 billion, so we do not include them.
What Drives the VET Price?
- Staking demand: VET locked in staking cannot be sold without unstaking first. VeChain reported 13 billion VET staked in April. On October 26 the staking contract held about 15 billion VET, about 17% of supply, although that on-chain balance is not an official staking total. Further growth in staking would reduce the liquid supply on exchanges.
- Network use: demand for blockspace shows up mainly in VTHO, which is burned with every transaction. Sustained growth in VeBetter activity and enterprise use would strengthen the case for both tokens. Our VTHO price prediction looks at how issuance and burns compare.
- Enterprise and regulatory adoption: EU Digital Product Passports are a long-term opportunity, but batteries are the first product group with a fixed start date, February 18, 2027, and VeChain competes with conventional IT systems for the business.
- Market access: Kraken’s listing, the Bullish listing VeChain announced in February and Crypto.com’s institutional custody for VET and VTHO, announced in August 2025, widen access. We found no US spot ETF filing for VET.
- Supply: about 99% of VET’s maximum supply is already in circulation, so there is little supply overhang from future unlocks.
- The wider market: VET is a small-cap altcoin, and its 76% drop in 2025 and the swings of 2026 show how strongly it reacts to overall risk appetite.
Can VeChain Reach $1?
Not on any model in our forecast tables. Only Changelly’s outlier forecast, which we exclude, puts VET above $1, at more than $5 by 2040. With about 86 billion VET in circulation, every price level implies a market cap that can be compared with other coins.
| VET Price | Market Cap Needed | Multiple of Today’s Price | For Comparison |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.01 | About $0.86B | About 1.5x | VET traded above $0.01 in January 2026 |
| $0.10 | About $8.6B | About 15x | Below Dogecoin’s $12.1B today |
| $0.25 | About $21.5B | About 38x | Above VET’s own 2021 peak of about $16.4B |
| $1 | About $86B | About 152x | Between XRP ($82.1B) and BNB ($97.8B) today |
At $1, VET would rank about fifth among all cryptocurrencies by today’s market caps. Even a return to the 2021 high of $0.2782 would need a market cap of about $23.9 billion, because the supply is now about a third larger than in 2021. The highest 2030 figure in our forecast tables, CoinLore’s bull case of $0.0653, is about 6.5% of $1. Reaching $0.01 again, a gain of about 52%, would be a nearer milestone.
Key Risks of VET
- Deep drawdown: VET is down about 97.6% from its 2021 high and lost three quarters of its value in 2025
- Volatility: CoinCodex rates VET’s recent volatility as very high, and the 2026 rally and reversal show how quickly gains can fade
- Adoption is still unproven at scale: user and activity figures come mostly from VeChain itself, and enterprise interest has not yet translated into sustained price support
- Competition: other blockchains and conventional databases compete for supply chain and Digital Product Passport work
- Liquidity: daily trading volume of about $13.5 million is modest, so large orders can move the price
- Model limits: most forecasts extrapolate past prices and cannot anticipate changes in staking, network use or market sentiment
Where to Buy VET
VET has spot markets on several major exchanges, including Binance (VET/USDT, VET/USDC, VET/EUR and VET/TRY), Coinbase (VET/USD), Kraken (VET/USD, VET/EUR, VET/USDT and VET/USDC), Crypto.com (VET/USD) and Bullish (VET/USDC). Availability depends on your country, so check what each exchange offers where you live. Our guide to the best crypto exchanges compares fees and features.
Holders who want staking rewards can delegate VET through StarGate, using a VeChain wallet such as VeWorld. VET left on an exchange earns rewards only if the exchange stakes it on the user’s behalf. For self-custody basics, see our guide to self-custodial wallets.
Is VeChain (VET) a Good Investment?
That depends on your view of VeChain’s adoption story and your tolerance for risk. The bull case rests on staking locking up more supply, VeBetter and enterprise activity growing, and EU product passports creating real demand from 2027. The bear case is that VET has been in a long downtrend, that most models expect lower prices through 2027 and that enterprise adoption has so far done little for the token.
VET has lost about 97.6% of its value since its 2021 peak, and further losses are possible. The staking total, VeBetter activity and VTHO burns are the clearest signs of whether usage is growing. For more forecasts across the market, see our crypto price predictions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the VeChain price prediction for 2026?
Central estimates from current models put VET between about $0.0038 and $0.0073 at the end of 2026. CoinCodex expects about $0.0057, roughly 14% below the late October price of $0.0066, while CoinLore’s base case of $0.0041 and Traders Union’s $0.0038 imply larger declines. BeInCrypto’s average of $0.0073 is the only central estimate above today’s price, and CoinLore’s bull case reaches $0.0242.
What is the VeChain price prediction for 2030?
Central 2030 estimates range from about $0.0036 at CoinCodex to $0.013 for CoinLore’s base case, with Traders Union at about $0.0040. CoinLore’s bull case is $0.0653. The forecasts disagree widely because most are algorithmic models built on past prices. None of them projects VET returning to its 2021 high of $0.278 by 2030.
Can VeChain reach $1?
Not on any model in our tables. With about 86 billion VET in circulation, a price of $1 would mean a market cap of about $86 billion, roughly 152 times VET’s current value and more than XRP is worth today. The highest 2030 figure in our forecast tables, CoinLore’s bull case, is about $0.065. Even the 2021 high of $0.278 would now require a market cap near $24 billion.
How has VET performed in 2026?
VET started 2026 at about $0.0104 and peaked at $0.0132 on January 6. It then fell to a 2026 low of $0.00428 on June 25, before more than doubling to $0.00989 by September 23 in a rally that began in late August. By October 26, it had slipped back to about $0.0066, down about 37% for the year.
What is VeChain used for?
VeChain is a blockchain for businesses and public bodies that want to record supply chain, product and sustainability data. Its VeBetter ecosystem rewards users for verified sustainable actions, and VeChain is targeting the EU’s Digital Product Passports, which start with batteries in February 2027. VET is used for staking and governance, while VTHO pays transaction fees on the network.
Does holding VET still generate VTHO?
Only if the VET is staked. Since the Hayabusa upgrade in December 2025, VTHO goes only to validators and to holders who delegate VET through VeChain’s StarGate platform. Each of the 101 validators stakes at least 25 million VET, keeps 30% of rewards and passes 70% to its delegators. VET sitting unstaked in a regular wallet or on an exchange no longer earns VTHO.
Is VeChain listed on Coinbase?
Yes. Coinbase’s exchange lists a VET/USD market, and VET also trades on Binance, Kraken and Crypto.com. Kraken added VET/USD and VET/EUR pairs in January 2026. Availability depends on where you live, so check each exchange’s supported assets in your country. To earn staking rewards, VET has to be delegated through StarGate or staked by an exchange that offers it.
